To launch Netflix's Fear Street: Prom Queen at the Fonda Theatre, we transformed the historic venue into a multi-room, open-world 1980s immersive horror experience. I directed the technical design and hardware integration for all interactive elements and special effects throughout the space. The crowning mechanical feat was a fully operational DJ station engineered to split in half and fall to the floor during the climax of each performance, utilizing electromagnets and heavy-duty mechanical construction that allowed the entire console to be seamlessly reset in minutes. I also oversaw the deployment of hidden sensor networks, localized actor-triggered show cues, and an array of automated practical scare mechanics integrated throughout the venue—including high-pressure air blasts, synchronized slamming doors, and proximity-based lighting and prop reveals.
