To launch DoorDash’s first NYC DashMart location, we created the DashMart DisPlay—a high-visibility, street-level interactive window game modeled after a classic arcade crane machine that turned traditional New York holiday window displays on their head. I directed the R&D, mechanical engineering, and fabrication of the custom installation. My team engineered a fully functional, fully custom, large-scale claw mechanism and integrated a physical joystick control system into the shop's exterior window facade. I oversaw the end-to-end prototyping of the electro-mechanical systems and managed the logistical deployment in New York City, gamifying the retail storefront to successfully attract and engage upwards of 3,000 visitors.
