For the Google I/O AI Sandbox, we collaborated with Google Creative Lab to deliver a multi-booth experiential space showcasing the real-time capabilities of Gemini 1.5. I directed the technical design, engineering, and custom fabrication of all physical interaction touchpoints across the entire ecosystem. Moving past standard off-the-shelf components, my team designed and manufactured bespoke premium pushbuttons, custom haptic rotary knobs, and linear slider pots to ground generative AI concepts in a highly tactile physical space. The centerpiece of the build was a completely custom DJ console that integrated an embedded RFID sensor array within a physical turntable setup, allowing users to manipulate physical vinyl records to trigger, mix, and modulate real-time generative audio prompts.
